The first Wednesday of every month the leadership team of Al Arqam Academy host a Coffee Meeting for mothers to discuss common issues and to provide a means of communication between mothers and the leaders of the school. The first Coffee Meeting for this year was held on Wednesday November 18th from 12pm to 1:30 pm in the school theater.
Mrs. Ola Abdel Rahman Hamdy, Academy Principal, began the Coffee Meeting discussion with an introduction to the Board of Trustees. She spoke about their role, how they support the academy and how the election process is managed. Mrs Hamdy also spoke about the importance of effective communication and how parents can use the communication policy to solve any issues they have.
Mrs. Aysha Al-Suaidi, one of the Board of Trustees, attended the meeting to address any enquiries from parents and to communicate with the school community. We greatly appreciate her attendance and continued support of the school.
Following the meeting points there was an open sessions for mothers to ask questions and to discuss any concerns they may have. Questions are answered by the leadership team or referred to the appropriate staff member to be followed up on in the next meeting.
All mothers are welcomed and encouraged to come and have a cup of coffee with us and to take part in the lively discussions that build our school community and improve the communication between parents and school leaders.
