Al-Arqam Academy for girls participated in the Diabetes Day march as a part of its role in building the community partnership. Mrs Thurya the Nurse of the Secondary school organized the day and coordinated with the Qatar Diabetes Association. Admin staff, teachers and students gathered in Aspire Park on the 13th of November at 2:30pm until the march started at 3:30pm.
World Diabetes Day (WDD) is celebrated every year on November 14 to mark the birthday of Frederick Banting who discovered the disease which led to the discovery of insulin in 1922.
