The students of Al Arqam Academy participated in “SEHHA” event in the college of Health Science in collaboration with the college of medicine and College of pharmacy in Qatar University.
Our 4 students in year 10 have shown interest in healthcare and were excited about this unique experience .
The students were:
1 - Mariam Al khouri
2 - Ghalya Al Emadi
3- Mariam Al Kuwari
4 - Nouf Al Qahtani
They visited the: Heart Hospital, Cancer and Rumaila Hospitals with the doctors who explained the way of using medical equipments used for :
Blood test for Cancer , genes for patients having cancer, chemotherapy equipment, prevention from cancer , students also visited pharmacies to see medicines samples, , were introduced to bio chemical lab for experiment, how, and to deal with patients, technical departments and receiving patients. Our students also attended a lecture about First Aid in Qatar University and the hospitals’ back ground.
It was a very good experience, certificates have been distributed to our students and our school is looking forward to participate next year as well
